My photos are exclusive in the Byron Bay calendars, 2004, 2005 and 'The East Coast Bluefestival Calendar' 2006-07. My work has appeared in local and national magazines. I have won photographic contests held by Canon Australia, and the Daily Telegraph...My photo gear consists of Canon 5D Mark2, 70-200 f2.8 IS, 17-40mm, Canon 24-70mm. I shoot in raw format and all my work is processed through 'Adobe Lightroom'. My mine influence in photography has been Minor White...

I live and work in Byron Bay. I mainly photograph musicians. I am the Blueafest's main photographer. Byron Bay is on the East Coast of NSW Australia. A small sub-tropical coastal town with a big reputation for being a meeting place of sub-cultures. It is where the rich, the artist and the hippy drink in the same coffee shop. The name 'taojones' came about through my username in photographic forums on the internet. 'Tao' being for that which can't be explained the mystery of life. The 'Jones' is because I was sick of trying to keep up with them...
